European Union: No DU Used in Afghanistan
On April 9, 2002, Spanish Minister of Defence Federicio Trillo-Figueroa
confirmed on behalf of the Council of the European Union in an answer
to a question by MEP Paul Lannoye (Greens) that no depleted uranium

was raised by Dai Williams with the UK Government via MPs on 16th
